The name is as striking as it comes, and of course has a backstory to it. While the name is interesting, so is this contrasting mix of flavors and will for sure leave an astounding residue on your tongue. Full disclosure, although name contains martini it doesn’t remotely resemble one. Born in the 1999s by the bartender Douglas Ankrah in the famous London Townhouse Bar, the inspiration of this creation has many versions, where some say it was meant as a testament to boldness and confidence and some say it was made keeping in mind a pornstars drink preference and one famous story also goes on to state that Douglas came up with the idea of this modern day classic cocktail, when he smelled a pornstar’s perfume.
The ingredients are a sweet and sour mix of vanilla mostly vodka, passion fruit liquor with a shot of sparkling wine. What makes it even more appealing is the frothy texture garnished with a half of a passionfruit. This sweet and citrusy fusion is a perfect addition to a light brunch or a cocktail party.
